BASKETBALL Current Session in Progress

Make new friends, try something new and join your classmates after school to enrich your education in fun and unique ways. Union offers four sessions of After School Programs: fall, basketball, winter & spring. Classes vary by session.

Bring your children to Union to read their favorite book to one of our volunteer therapy dogs from Therapy Pets of Greater Cincinnati. Bring your own book or buy one at the Scholastic Book Fair which will be open during the event. This memorable event is free. It's always a doggone good time!1

Grandparents Days

Stay Tuned for Fall 2019 dates

Grandparents and other special family members and friends, join us in the Union Café for lunch. Purchase a hot lunch at school, pack a brown bag from home, or bring something special from your child’s favorite restaurant for a meal to remember!

Birthday Celebrations

Union celebrates birthdays on the first Wednesday of each month. Students are given a special lunch and families are invited to join in.

Celebrate Union’s connection to Lakota East High School at a football and basketball game. Gather for games, prizes and a parade before the game. No need to sign up - just show up. Look for the Union banner!

Book Fair

Scholastic Book Fairs are a booklovers paradise, stocked with books geared specifically for Union’s students. Shop until you drop! Proceeds go toward promoting literacy at Union. Union PTSO hosts two fairs each school year.

Spirit Fridays


Show off your spirit in school colors - red and black - and show off your generosity with donations of canned goods and personal items. Donated goods go to Reach Out Lakota, an organization offering assistance to local families.

Walk-a-Thon

Walk-a-Thon puts the “fun” back into “fundraising!” Students walk, hop, skip and more to raise money to support Union’s students and teachers. Every student gets a t-shirt and a sno-cone and everybody has a great time at Walk-a-Thon! Return your Donation Form and donations by TBA to qualify for prizes! Fall Festival

Consider Volunteering at FF 2019

The don’t-miss event of the year is Union’s Fall Festival, held each October. Fall Festival is a full-blown carnival that takes over the entire building with games, prizes, dinner, treats, fun activities, raffle baskets and more! Funds from this event go directly to support Union.

PIE Awards

Progress in Education (PIE) Awards events are held two times each year, in winter and spring. Teachers choose students who have excelled in an area of study to honor with a breakfast ceremony. By invitation only.

Family Fun Nights

Share an affordable night of fun with your whole family at Union. Pull up a blanket in the Cafe for a movie, be the first to shout "Bingo!," meet exotic animals and piece together a puzzle at this year's events.

Box Tops Collections

Clip and save Box Tops for Education from your favorite products to support Union. You can send Tops in with your child anytime throughout the year, but the Top Tops class wins a treat two times per year. Box Tops collection bins are available in each classroom. Classroom Competitions: OCTOBER 2018 and FEBRUARY 11 -14, 2019

Celebration of the Arts Auditions

Calling all Union stars: singers, dancers, actors, magicians, storytellers, comedians, jugglers and more - show off your special skill! Celebration of the Arts is a special night designed to showcase Union's stars! The hallways are adorned with artwork and the stage is filled with a variety of talents from our students. Save room for tasty desserts! 

Auditions will be held on APRIL , 5-6:30 PM.

Honor Roll Celebrations

PTSO holds three yearly Honor Roll parties to recognize students who have achieved Honor Roll status. Celebrate with the students for a job well done! Sometimes during lunches, sometimes during off-school hours.

Restaurant Night FUNdraisers

Enjoy a night out with your family on designated dates at local restaurants that give a percentage of their proceeds back to support Union when we present special fundraising flyers at purchase.

6th Grade Social

MAY , 3:30-5:30 PM

To thank our 6th graders for their model years as Union students, we wish them well as they head off to junior high school with an end of the year Social. Music, dancing and food are all included. Fun is guaranteed - along with plenty of pictures for lasting memories!
